Journey Across the United States

Wow, I can’t believe it has been almost two months since I have posted!  The last two months have been extremely busy as we prepare to head over to England for the next three years.  The month of May was filled with preparing for our movers to come and pack up all of our Household Goods in three different shipments.  I also attended the First Fairytale Adventures Travel Agency familiarization training and it was a blast.  I learned so much that I hope to incorporate into my own business this year. Heading into mid-May this is how I felt and our adventure was just beginning…

May 18th my family and I left Miami, Fl as my husband’s leave began.

First up was dropping our car off in Baltimore, Maryland for it to be shipped overseas.  This trip was a last minute add on to our trip and caught us a little off guard but we are so glad that we were able to head up there because it allowed us to visit with some very special friends before we leave the country.

From there we headed back south to head west stopping and seeing family and friends the entire way!

14 States and a total of 5,672 miles.  Tips to make a trip like this with three kids ages 7-13 is lots of movies (we ran out and had to start repeats in Texas), lots of snacks, and a fun attitude.

We were lucky and were able to stop every other day or so to visit with friends and once we were on the west coast we spent 4 days in Disneyland, 10 days in Santa Barbara and a week between Las Vegas and Phoenix.  We have one last week before we leave the country and are still finishing up paperwork and tasks before we leave.

I’ll be continuing to blog this last week before we leave the country with some of the things a family has to go through before leaving the country for three years.  I also have updates about our visit to Disneyland and various other places we stopped along the way.  Once we are in England I will update on all the craziness of house hunting and settling down across the pond.  My focus will continue to be on vacations for families.  I’m still booking trips to Disney World, Disneyland, cruises and all-inclusives while I am on this adventure and am thankful for all the continued support!!!  If you would like a quote for a vacation please use the obtain a quote link at the top of this page.  For more immediate updates Like me on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/shedizny.
