Finally on the morning of Day 3 it was time to head to my favorite park ever. Disneyland. Disneyland is my favorite park for many reasons. It is the first park I ever remember visiting back when I was 7 years old.
Flashback to good old Spring 1987.
It holds so many memories for me and there is not another park in the world that I would rather visit. Disneyland truly is where my passion for all things Disney began. I never imagined that I would get to enjoy it as an adult with my entire family immediate and extended family. The excitement that I felt that morning will forever be burned into my memory, which is a good thing because I sorely lacked on taking pictures all day. Must have been having too much fun to take them!
Right or left that is the most important question when heading into Disneyland first thing in the morning. The correct answer is left! Always left!!! Nothing can beat starting your day off with Pirates of the Caribbean and Splash Mountain. So that is exactly what we did. We met up with my brother, Robert and sister Stacie and headed to the best ride ever, Pirates of the Caribbean.
In line for Pirates, sorry it is the only picture I have! But hey it also appears that we stopped for Starbucks:)
After Pirates, we decided to split up and head to Splash Mountain. Splash Mountain is my favorite ride. I think the song, animatronics, and of course ending make it all around the best ride in any park, east coast or west coast. Thankfully I did grab some pictures at this stop.
In line for Splash with Robert and Erin.
Look who’s in front.
Emma is a cutie pie:)
The picture after. We had photo pass this trip also but I will share those pictures in another post.
The rest of our day was spent just wandering the park and riding rides. We hit up Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, It’s a Small World, the Train, Canoe, Indian Jones and many more.
Everyone needs a tiara.
Smile:)
So glad we got to ride the Canoes again. I hope they return after Star Wars Land is built.
For Lunch I had my favorite Broccoli Cheddar Soup in a bread bowl yum.
Selfie!
We ate a family dinner (all 17 of us) at Thunder Mountain Ranch Barbecue and it was so yummy. Again no pictures but it really was a great way to connect at the end of our day. The restaurant is closed now to make way for Star Wars Land but the memories of our meal there will live on.
Overall a wonderful day at Disneyland. One day left, my plan is to not wait three more months before I finish this story. And remember always go left:)
And finally the only way to be after a full day at the park!
